MANILA, Philippines—Cat fight! Seems one is brewing between Angelica Panganiban and “Magkaribal” star Gretchen Barretto. Here’s the timeline:
June 2—On “SNN,” Gretchen told co-star Derek Ramsay, who is set to leave with girlfriend Angelica for a monthlong vacation in South Africa: “Hihintayin ko na lang ang mga pictures mo—solo pictures. Gusto ko ikaw lang, walang iba.”
June 3—Angelica, in her Twitter account (@IamAngelicaP), said, to no one in particular: “Nakakaawa ka. Mukang ’di ka masaya … Single ka, teh?”
June 5— On “E Live,” a visibly irked Angelica said again, “Single ka? Kasi ako … may boyfriend … girlfriend ako ni Derek. Nasa mga tao na ’yon kung sino sa tingin nila ang gusto kong paringgan. Huwag sana akong idamay sa promotion [of “Magkaribal”]. Kung gusto niyang mag-promote, mag-promote siyang mag-isa.”June 6—On “The Buzz,” Gretchen replied, “Joke lang namin ni Derek ’yon … Ako si Victoria (her character in “Magkaribal”).
