ala Vanity Fair

No, it's not a billboard for a new teleserye. It's just us barkada channeling Vanity Fair.

TOMS Shoes

Here's their story:

"In 2006, American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in a village in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One."

Finally TOMS Shoes are now more available everywhere here in the Philippines. While you buy a pair of TOMS here, you'll be helping someone out there have a pair of their own.

Right now, we only have the basic style...

Classic Canvas

But hopefully more styles come coz their awesome! Reminds me of espadrilles.

Botas

Black Vegan Wrap Boots

Aira Cordones

Those are for the adults. Kids have too...

Heller Classic Youth

Also available for toddlers...

Tiny Tot

The company is very strong in their corporate social responsibility, one of which is their One Day Without Shoes. Encouraging people to go on barefoot even for just a few minutes to feel how it is to live without shoes. This year, One Day Without Shoes will be on April 8, 2010.

TOMS Shoes are available in Shoe Salon, Jump and Nothing But H2O (P2400-2900++).

Take a walk in POLLIWALKS

As if Crocs aren't enough! Here's Polliwalks! A rubber sandals for kids. Much like Crocs but with a bit more personality.

here's their basic style, Bass

this one is Gator

there's also T-Rex

and... Sesame Street

I know, a bit creepy. But kids dig them. And mommies, it's easy to clean. Just throw them in the washer (don't tumble dry please!) or just wash them with a hose. I bet my son would love these but he'll probably end up biting them.

Average price for a pair is P1,500. Available at Rustan's and Hobbes and Landes.

ALDO and more BDSM

I will not explain what BDSM means...just think leather, whips, chains, Lady Gaga and these shoes...

And here's one with some hardware...

But bondage doesn't have to be black all the time...
Go white for the naughty-but-nice look...

But for me... she-devil equals red...

Bringing it back

It seems that there's nothing we really can throw away. Everything seems to be coming back! From leggings to shoulder pads... everything!

I remember Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink whenever I see blazers...

blazer from Topshop

Or maybe the Sharon movies with cring-worthy outfits...

And how about MC Hammer pants?!

jodhpurs from Promod

I should look for my mom's old trousers. She had lots! But maybe they're in Ukay-Ukay already. So, I took these out instead...

brown Christian Dior, black Gucci and blue Gucci shoulder bags

My mom had these since early 80's. And since small shoulder bags are now back I decided to revive them too. The metal parts are showing signs of age but the leather is still in really good condition! I'm thinking of using the black one tomorrow... how about channeling Bagets?!

Then there are these disco dresses she gave me. I'm still looking for an event I could wear it to!

I call it "Vintage Celine". Haha!

I'm hoping that I'll have a daughter I can give some of my bags and clothes to!

CROCS first day!

Today is the first day the sale will open to the public. What are you waiting for?!

Crystal clear!

She's also one of my faves. Last night was Rolling Stones night. I loved that she sang "You Can't Always Get What You Want" I was re-introduced to the song when it was sang in Glee.

Tonight is elimination night again. Crossing my figures all my faves survive tonight!

America, you got it wrong!

I can't believe who got kicked out last Thursday (Friday in the Philippines) night in American Idol! Why? Oh, why?!

Lily was one of my favorites. Not the usual pop star. Alex also was booted out. Not a super fan, but was kinda rooting for him too.

Kately and Todrick said farewell too. I'm not a fan, so it's okay.

Now it's down to the final twelve. This is when I always watch because I enjoy having guest mentors. Although they always say something nice about the contestants. But it's still exciting. I'm a bit bored this season though... I hope someone really steps up to spice up the show.

The Red Shoes

I've been seeing the ad in my favorite glossies and I'm so curious! with a title like The Red Shoes, I couldn't ignore it! So finally remembered to look for it in YouTube. I think I'm going to watch.

This is not the same like the children's story often featured in ballet. But it does have a great storyline and I love the "unfinished" look of indie films.

The movie stars Marvin Agustin and Nikki Gil. Nationwide release on March 10, 2010, Wednesday.
