FOTD: Smokey Brown

I had an almost naked photoshoot of my pregnant self while carrying my first baby. You know how they say whatever you do to your first child, you must also do to your second. Just to avoid any sibling rivalry...

Since on bed rest I can't go out to go to a studio. And I'd rather save money also. So my photographer brother hooked me up with one of his photog friends to do the shoot at home. I know we'll be mostly taking shots of my tummy but I still put on make up.

Here's the final product. not too smokey-eye-in-your-face. Oh, and I love the texture of my hair. Thanks to Dove Hair Therapy

I used brown hues to look natural but still striking.

Here's what I used:

For Face: (from left to right) Make Up Forever Concealer Palette N°15 (that's fourth from the left); Avon Simply Pretty Fresh Radiance Make Up Base in Pink Glow; Revlon PhotoReady in 008 Golden Beige

I use the Avon base for "daily" use. And I used PhotoReady foundation for a clean, smooth finish. I have terrible dark circles under my eyes, hence, the Make Up Forever concealer.

For Eyes: (from left to right) Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion; Nichido Eyeliner in Black; Faceshop Eyeliner in White, Victoria Secret Ultimate Make Up Kit; Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara

Eye primer is important to avoid creases in the eyelids. I just used simple brown hues in varying shades from the Victoria Secret set (about three shades). It's been awhile since I used this, good enough fot photoshoot at home. I also used the luminizer to finish everything off. It's the first from the left bottom part of the set. I ran out of Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus in Black. Maybelline does the job ok. The white eyeshadow is for the inner corners of my eyes to make it pop.

For Cheeks and Lips: (from left to right) NARS in Orgasm; MAC Lip Pencil in Spice; MAC  Lipstick in Jubilee

Focused on the eyes so, I opted to use NARS Orgasm to just put enough pink on my cheeks. And this shade of MAC Lustre lipstick is my nude shade.

There you go! I love putting on make up and experimenting on looks. I do that more often now that I'm stuck at home.
